GREENSBORO, N.C. — The driver of a motorcycle was sent to the hospital Tuesday after an SUV ran a red light, according to police.
The accident happened around 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of West McGee and South Eugene streets.
Police said an officer saw an SUV run a red light, which caused a motorcyclist to collide with the driver’s side door.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV, Daryl Quintin Thomas, 22, of Greensboro, was charged with felony failure to stop for red light, felony hit and run and misdemeanor hit and run failing to give aid.
The identity and condition of the motorcyclist is not currently known.
