SAN FRANCISCO — A massive five-alarm fire is burning at a high-rise building under construction in San Francisco, according to KGO.
The fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m. EST was roughly 60 percent contained as of 10:30 p.m. EST.
According to the report, the building was meant to be apartments that were set to open in a few months.
The San Francisco Fire Department is pulling back from the fire due to concerns of a collapse.
Part of the building appeared to collapse in on itself shortly after 6 p.m. PST (9 p.m. EST).
