New Belk store in High Point to celebrate grand opening on March 12

HIGH POINT, N.C. — The new Belk store at the Palladium Shopping Center in High Point will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, March 12.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. The first 300 customers will receive a Belk gift card ranging from $5 to $500.

Belk will also present a $5,000 grant to High Point University to award ‘First Generation Scholarships’ to two Guilford County high school students.

    Old Man Belk did not want his stores open on Sundays, ever. While on his deathbed, he made his two sons promise that Belk stores would never be open on Sundays. They promised.

    Old Man Belk died on a Tuesday; all Belk stores were open the following Sunday.
