Three men arrested after police find tools for car burglaries

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Three men were arrested Wednesday after Winston-Salem police found them with tools used for vehicle burglaries and other items in the 2400 block of Silas Creek Parkway, authorities said Thursday.

Officers initially went to 2690 Peters Creek Parkway after a report of four people looking into cars in a parking lot, police said. Police found three men at on Silas Creek Parkway, wearing gloves with tools and a large amount of money, two cellphone memory cards and a cellphone.

Julio Romero Perez, 16, of Sunset Drive, Diego Rendon Garcia, 17, of Weatherwood Court and Axel Petatan Medina, 17, each were charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny and other offenses, police said.

Perez, Garcia and Medina were being held in the Forsyth County Jail with various bonds set for them, police said.
