Hundreds attend large gay rights event in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Hundreds of people from across North Carolina are in the mountains this weekend for a large gay rights conference.

Several people from around the country attended the first “LGBT in the South” event in Asheville.

Attendants said it’s helpful to share ideas with people fighting for gay rights. The topics discussed included everything from Amendment One to estate planning.
