Woman robbed in Burlington Walmart parking lot

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are searching for a woman accused of robbing another woman in a Walmart parking lot early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the Walmart, located at 530 S. Graham-Hopedale Road, shortly before 1 a.m. in reference to the robbery.

Upon arriving at the scene, the victim told police she was walking to her car in the parking lot when the suspect approached her and demanded her pocketbook.

The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in a gold colored vehicle, last seen traveling on North Mebane Street towards Sellars Mill Road.

The victim was not injured during the incident.
