North Carolina defeats Florida State, 81-75

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Roy Williams earned his 300th win as the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels Monday evening with an 81-75 victory over Florida State, the Associated Press reported.

The Tar Heels (18-7, 8-4 ACC) were led by freshman Kennedy Meeks, who put in 23 points on an outstanding 11-12 shooting performance, along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

North Carolina will be back in action on Thursday when they take on Duke at 9 p.m. at the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill.
