CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — UNC dominated North Carolina State in a 84-70 victory Saturday from Chapel Hill, with James Michael McAdoo having 16 points and 13 rebounds.
WRAL reported that Leslie McDonald also scored a season-high 20 points for the Tar Heels, who won their third straight game.
UNC’s win came after Carolina opened up a big first half lead against N.C. State. North Carolina scored the game’s first six points and laed by double figures seven minutes in.
Carolina is now 14-7 and 4-4 Atlantic Coast Conference and the Wolfpack are 14-8, 4-5.
UNC have won 21 of 23 meetings since Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams returned in 2003, including all 11 in Chapel Hill. N.C. State hasn’t been closer than nine points in the past 10.
