Police: Woman robbed in Burlington parking lot

BURLINGTON, N.C. – Burlington Police are searching for a man who robbed a woman while she was in a store parking lot around 11:00 Saturday night.

When officers arrived at the M&M Mini Mart, located at 804 South Mebane Street, the female victim told them that she was sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot when she was robbed by a man.

The victim told the police that she believed the suspect had a handgun in his left pocket, but she didn’t see it.

The victim said that after he took her money the suspect walked behind the store towards Sixth Street.

The Graham Police Department assisted with a canine track from the scene.

The suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as being a black male, approximately 6 foot tall, with a medium build. He was described as wearing glasses, a dark green sweater and a black heavy coat.

The investigation is on-going.
