SEATTLE, Wash. — Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman’s postgame rant following his team’s victory on Sunday is sparking widespread reaction, both good and bad.
“Don’t you open your mouth about the best. Or I’ll shut it real quick,” Sherman said in an interview with FOX sideline reporter Erin Andrews minutes after the win.
Sherman helped seal Seattle’s 23-17 NFC Championship Game victory by deflecting a pass intended for San Francisco 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree.
The Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers 23-17 Sunday in the NFC Championship Game at Seattle to advance to Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos.
The Super Bowl will be played February 2 in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, site of the first outdoor cold-weather Super Bowl. Game time is 6:30 p.m. ET. It airs on FOX.
It took Richard Sherman 10 seconds w/ a microphone to forget all about communications 101 class at Stanford in that Erin Andrews interview.—

Richard Sherman’s interview would’ve been perfect if he had just dropped a “hi mom” at the end.—
