Homes, school without water after water main break in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Several homes, a school and a veterinary hospital are without water Thursday morning following a water main break in High Point.

Crews are working to repair the broken water main at West Lexington Avenue and Kentucky Street.

Water is completely off in the 800-block of West Lexington.

Officials say about 7-8 homes and Emerywood Veterinary Hospital are temporarily without water.

According to Guilford County School representative Larry Odell, Northwood Elementary School has no water at this time.

There is no word on when repairs will be completed and the water will be turned back on.
