Man found dead in vehicle in Winston-Salem identified

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police said a man was found killed inside a vehicle parked in front of a Winston-Salem home on Friday.

The victim was identified on Jan. 6 as David Anthony Lowers, who also went by the aliases Mark Ross, Delroy East and Oscar McLead.

Police said they found the body after responding to 2730 Manchester St. around 6 p.m. to help emergency workers in reference to a deceased male.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the man had been shot.

Winston-Salem police said this is the city’s first homicide of 2014. Detectives with the Winston Salem Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division have assumed the case.

      When the news is murder, drugs, armed robbery, child abuse…how can the comments be anything but negative.
      I see lots of positive comments when the story is uplifting.

      People need a place to get their frustrations out. Better here than other ways.

    Gangs, murder, and drugs are everywhere. People love to find any reason to bash their city or state, yet the biggest complainers never have and never will leave!

    Exactly. . News should also focus on more “uplifting” stories. .. Then maybe there won’t be anything negative to complain about. . At least crime wise!
