After a bit of freezing rain Sunday morning, most of the Piedmont will see showers with highs in the low to mid-40s for the rest of the day.
On Monday, the artic cold front will cross the state. Ahead of the front, look for showers with a few wet snowflakes possible.
Behind the front, our skies will clear, the winds will howl and our temperatures will drop. We will hit our highs early on Monday and by Tuesday morning we should be down to 8 degrees. The record low for Tuesday is 14 degrees set back in 1988.
Lots of sun is expected on Tuesday but our highs will be stuck in the low to mid 20s with our feels like temperatures in the low teens.
We should get above freezing by Wednesday afternoon. Thursday and Friday will be cloudy with small chances for rain.
