Two men rob Italian restaurant in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two armed men robbed an Italian restaurant on East Market Street on Monday night.

Officers responded to Carini’s Italian American Grill at 1524 East Market Street around 9:50 p.m. Monday in reference to an armed robbery.

The manager told police two suspects entered the business and jumped over the counter. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the manager and demanded money.

The manager complied and the suspects fled with an undetermined amount of money.

No one was injured in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

    And the community leaders wonder why businesses are leaving the east side of Greensboro! The residents of these communities and the criminals forced away every decent business that ever put up a business sign. Now the thugs are forced to branch out to other parts of the city to victimize the innocent.

      I agree with you and the town council does nothing about it. Their idea to deal with violent youth is art and crafts classes. They need a reality check. I have stopped going to Greensboro for dinner or shopping.
