A slow moving cold front is sweeping through the Piedmont bringing in lots of rain, which will be heavy at times.
Flooding may be possible in some areas.
But as we move through Monday afternoon, the rain will begin to taper off and cooler temperatures will settle in. In fact, our temperatures could drop during the day.
Our skies will slowly clear Monday night with overnight lows close to freezing.
Tuesday will be partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 40s.
Christmas Day will be sunny and chilly with highs in the low 40s.
Thursday and Friday will feature sunny to partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid to upper 40s.
