A Taiwanese tourist had to be rescued after she accidentally walked off a pier in Melbourne, Australia while browsing Facebook on her phone.

According to Victoria Police, the woman fell from St. Kilda’s pier into Port Phillip Bay late Monday. A witness alerted police and the woman was rescued within minutes.

The woman was taken to the hospital for observation and later released.

“She was still out in the water laying on her back in a floating position because she told us later that she couldn’t swim,” the Australian Broadcasting Corporation quoted him as saying, according to BBC News. “She still had her mobile phone in her hand and initially she apologized. She said ‘I was checking my Facebook page on the phone and I’ve fallen in’.”

“There will be no need for a lost property report as the woman kept hold of her mobile phone throughout the entire ordeal,” police said in a statement.
