THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Thomasville detectives are looking for two men they say robbed the J Mart at gunpoint Tuesday night.

The victim told investigators that two black males entered the store wearing black hoodies just before 9:33 p.m.

One of the suspects showed a handgun and demanded money.

The suspects fled on foot down Culbreth Avenue with an undisclosed amount of money.

One black male was described as being approximately 5 feet 6 inches in height and the other was approximately 5 feet 11 inches. Both appeared to be in their
20s.

There were no customers inside the store at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.

Video surveillance shows up to four suspects that may be involved. They were seen running east on Culbreth Avenue.

“Detectives are investigating to determine if this robbery is possibly related to an earlier robbery that occurred at 414 Fife Street at 11:56 a.m.,” said Det. Brad Saintsing. “There have been multiple suspects involved in both robberies.”

In that incident, the victim told police that he was exiting from his vehicle
in front of the residence when he noticed a silver or gold four-door passenger vehicle drive up behind him.

He stated two black males approached him, showed a handgun, and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
