Suspect sought in Winston-Salem pharmacy robbery

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police responded to a report of a robbery at a local pharmacy Tuesday afternoon.

Officers arrived at the Jonestown Pharmacy, located at 300 Jonestown Road, shortly before 2:30 p.m. in reference to a report of a robbery.

The suspect reportedly entered the business and abruptly went behind the counter, confronted employees, stated he had a gun and demanded prescription drugs.

After being provided with an undisclosed quantity of drugs the suspect exited the business and was last seen travelling on foot south towards U.S. 421.

No injuries were reported during this incident.

A K-9 track was completed with negative results.

The case was referred to the Criminal Investigative Division for follow-up.
