WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- FedEx expects to move 22 million packages this Cyber Monday, making it the busiest day in the company’s history.
That’s an 11-percent increase from the same day last year according to FedEx, the equivalent of 125 packages per second.
In Winston-Salem, additional seasonal workers were hired at the FedEx Express facility to deal with the increase.
More vehicles and routes were also added.
FedEx says it’s working to cut down on package thefts this holiday season.
Customers can go online and the delivery manager to specify where they want packages delivered and also receive alerts.
