HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police said a 5-year-old boy was injured after being attacked by a dog inside a High Point home.

High Point police said it happened around 12:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Newell Street to a child from out of town visiting family.

Police said the victim was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for injuries to the face, neck and left ear.

Police said no charges have been filed and the dog that attacked the child and another dog at the home have both been quarantined.

Kill the dog, lock the parents up…

    • John Brown says:

Hold on a second. Dogs and other animals attack fast and sometimes it happens before a parent can prevent it. Sometimes dogs attack and it’s unprovoked so before you judge maybe you should smack yourself and think about this before you speak stupidly again.

    • John says:

      And this is helpful how?

  • (@dobydog1) says:

spare the dogs and lock up whoever left a 5 year old alone with the dogs

  • Sun. says:

Not the dogs fault. What was the child doing to the dog? Did the child hurt the dog? If this dog was never aggressive before I bet it is the kids fault. Also if you have house guests how about using some common sense. If the dog is not around children on an everyday basis keep the kids and the dog separate.

I see no reason to kill the dog. I do see a reason to smack the owners and parents.
