Raleigh, N.C. — Governor Pat McCrory and his wife held a pet adoption event at the Executive Mansion on Saturday, according to WTVD-TV.

The Wake County SPCA, Humane Society of Charlotte and Guilford all provided dogs for the event.

Guilford County Animal Shelter provided 11 dogs for the event, all of which were adopted.

Several of the puppies at the event were taken from the Pender County puppy mill bust in early October.

Governor McCrory, his wife and several representatives are all urging the General Assembly to take action on a new bill that would regulate puppy mills.

“The Wake County SPCA, Humane Society of Charlotte and Guilford all provided dogs for the event.”
All 11 from Guilford were adopted out…what about the rest? How many dogs in total were at the event? I am thrilled they had this event and they adopted out 11 dogs, but I would hope an event held by the Governor would have had a lot more dogs adopted. How about some facts and more information? Fox8=the worst reporting.
