An arctic cold front pushed through the state Tuesday, bringing a dusting of snow in some places around the Piedmont.

Though little to no accumulation was reported, temperatures dropped into the 20s Tuesday night and some delays may occur Wednesday morning.

Watauga County Schools will have a 2-hour delay Wednesday. No other delays have been reported.

What little snow dusted the ground mostly cleared out of the area by around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Temperatures Wednesday are expected to clear and sunny, but very cold.

A warming trend begins on Thursday afternoon as the Piedmont heads back into the 50s and then to the 60s over the weekend.
