Many Triad employers still hiring for holidays
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — If you are still looking for some extra holiday cash, it’s not too late to find seasonal work as many Piedmont employers are still hiring for the holidays.
Salem Baking Company, the Winston-Salem based parent company of Dewey’s Bakeries, said it is still looking to fill close to 150 seasonal jobs. The company will be opening holiday “pop-up” stores all over the state as well as ramping up production of their baked goods.
Walmart said it too still has open positions at many stores across the Piedmont. While the company would not say how many locally, representatives said across the country the stores are hiring close to 55,000 seasonal employees.
Target stores in Winston-Salem say they too have a handful of jobs left to fill.
Snagajob.com said if you are looking to find a job, with many resume’s already in employers hands, make sure you keep a flexible schedule, have the ability to work nights and weekends, and “smile till your face hurts.” Snagajob said those with positive attitudes are most likely to get the job.

Salem Baking said those interested in working with them should stop into the Dewey’s Bakery at Thruway Shopping Center in Winston-Salem and fill out an application.
