GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. -- Americans across the country will honor our nation’s veterans on Veterans Day and High Point did just that with its 29th Annual Veterans Day Parade on Sunday.

The event is one of the largest Veteran Day parades across the state and is made up of about 1,000 people.

This year’s parade highlighted the service of World War II veterans.

Another group in Guilford County also held a special ceremony Sunday to honor veterans.

The Black Gap Veterans group got started with a service at the Guilford County Veterans Memorial.
