GREENSBORO, N.C. — Flying the friendly skies for the Thanksgiving holiday will be crowded, and expensive, this year.

An industry trade group says an estimated 25 million passengers will fly over over the 12-day Thanksgiving travel period, which is one and a half percent more than last year.

Planes are also expected to be more than 85 percent full on the busiest days.

Airfare over the holidays will be high so travel agent recommend buying tickets as soon as possible.
