MONTGOMERY COUNTY, N.C. — Almost 60 people face drug charges after officers rounded up suspected drug dealers and operators of illegal liquor houses in Montgomery County this week.
According to the Charlotte Observer, about 100 law enforcement officers rounded up 59 of the 68 suspected dealers.
During the raid, officers seized 200 grams of cocaine, 400 grams of marijuana, 40 liters of alcohol, 25 grams of opiates and three guns.
The investigation stemmed from complaints of drug sales in convenience store parking lots and other places in the county.
Some said suspected dealers were congregating at illegal liquor houses and causing disturbances such as loud noise and fights.
