WILMINGTON, N.C. -- While the wildly popular new drama Sleepy Hollow is based in New England, it is actually filmed all over the North Carolina coast.

One of the reasons producers chose North Carolina is because of the rich history here.

Having a filming location with rich history is key when dealing with a show that features frequent flashbacks to Revolutionary War times.

The show's star, Tom Mison, of England, said that in school he did not study the Revolutionary War extensively, so each week he gets to learn something about it from the show's script.

You can catch an all new episode of Sleepy Hollow on FOX8 tonight at 9 p.m. Stay tuned for a 15-minute special tonight at 10:45 p.m. on FOX8.
