Second teen dies from injuries sustained in Kernersville wreck

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A second teen has died from his injuries sustained in a crash in Kernersville last Monday.

Officials say Timothy Johnson, 17, died Sunday afternoon, after being thrown from the bed of a pickup truck last week.

Eric Ahmed, 17, who was also riding in the bed of the truck, died at the scene.

Both were students at Northwest Guilford High School.

Four teenagers were riding in the pickup truck when it struck two trees near the 3000 block of Bethel Church Road shortly before 2 p.m. on Oct. 28.

Three of the teenagers were riding in the bed of the pickup truck when it crashed.

Dillion Kozerskai, 17, and the driver, Matthew Norman, 17, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Both are also students at Northwest Guilford High School.

Officials say charges may be pending.
