WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Leaf collection will begin Monday in western Winston-Salem, between Business 40 and U.S. 421 to the south and Reynolda and Yadkinville roads to the north.

Residents can get an estimate of when leaves will be picked up by going to sanitation.cityofws.org and entering their address.

The date is an estimate because such factors as weather may affect leaf collection.

For residents who do not have access to a computer, call CityLink at 311 and a representative will look up the information.

Crews will make three passes through each neighborhood. Residents are asked to rake the leaves to the edge of the yard, not in the street.

Keep sticks, rocks and other debris out of the leaf pile.

Do not park vehicles on, in front of or near the leaves. Do not put leaves on a tarp or over a storm drain. Leaf burning is not allowed in the city limits.
