KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- Halloween is gradually changing from a door-to-door event to a downtown celebration for many communities.

Downtown businesses in several towns are opening their doors and meeting with eager trick-or-treaters.

The businesses aren't necessarily worried about doing business as much as they are interacting with community members.

As time goes on, Halloween in downtown is becoming a tradition for many families.
