West Montgomery teen stabs a fellow student with scissors

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, N.C. — A high school student was stabbed with scissors during a dispute with another boy in a locker room at school on Tuesday night.

Th Montgomery County sheriff’s office is investigating the altercation between the two West Montgomery High School students.

According to deputies, two football players began arguing in the cafeteria and continued in the locker room before football practice on Tuesday.

Deputies say the 16-year-old stabbed the 17-year-old twice with a pair of scissors, once in the upper left chest and once in the upper left back.

School officials quickly broke up the fight.

Officials confirmed this incident is not a hazing act or gang related.

The extent of the student’s injuries is not known at this time and there is no information about pending charges.

Officials say both students have been suspended.

The investigation is ongoing.
