GREENSBORO, N.C. — New jobs will be created over the next three years when a new East Coast logistics center and specialty pharmacy is built in Guilford County.

FFF Enterprises, Inc., a Temecula, California-based bio-pharmaceutical company selected Guilford County and plans to invest $7.6 million and create 31 new jobs over three years with an average salary of $41,000.

The company is a leading distributor of influenza vaccines, critical-care bio-pharmaceuticals and other plasma products.

The company plans to construct a new 80,000 square foot building to be located at Triad Business Park, also home to FedEx Ground.

The presence of a FedEx Express (air) hub at Piedmont Triad International and sizable ground operations in Greensboro were important factors in FFF Enterprises’ decision to locate in Guilford County.

“The decision to expand our business operations to the East Coast is part of a long-term plan of strategic growth for our company,” said Patrick M. Schmidt, chief executive officer, FFF Enterprises, Inc. “After an extensive search, the Triad Business Park in Guilford County proved to be an ideal location for our new distribution center. We are looking forward to breaking ground and beginning construction in the very near future.”

A privately-owned company, FFF Enterprises currently employs 200 people throughout the country and services over 48,000 customers nationwide.

The Guilford County, East Coast logistics center will be FFF Enterprises’ second location, allowing more immediate access to 70 percent of its customers. Currently, the company has over 1,400 customers in North Carolina.

“FFF Enterprises represents two of the five industry clusters we focus on: life/bioscience and supply chain logistics. They are an industry leader with strong management and their decision to locate in the Triad further validates our cluster strategy,” says Dan Lynch, President of the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance. “We have been working with the company since 2007 and throughout the recession we stayed connected – when conditions improved, we were able to help them find a great location for their new facility.”

The Greensboro Economic Development Alliance worked closely with Winston-Salem Business, Inc. and the High Point Economic Development Corporation throughout the site selection process.

FFF Enterprises considered buildings and sites across the Triad before selecting Triad Business Park. The Samet Corporation, developer of Triad Business Park, will construct the new 80,000 SF facility.
