Races to cause traffic delays in Greensboro Saturday morning

GREENBORO, N.C. — Three road races will cause some traffic delays in Greensboro Saturday morning.

The first is in the neighborhood north of Friendly Center for the Chik-Fil-A Walk and Run from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Road closures:

• Pembroke Street from Friendly to Northline Avenues
• Westbound Northline Avenue from Pembroke Street to Hobbs Road
• Northbound Hobbs Road from Northline Avenue to Alderman Drive
• Eastbound Alderman Drive from Hobbs Road to Northampton Drive
• Southbound Northampton Drive from Alderman Drive to Pitt Place
• Southbound Pitt Place from Northampton to New Hanover drives
• Eastbound New Hanover Drive from Pitt Place to Caswell Drive
• Southbound Caswell Drive from New Hanover Drive to Pembroke Street.

There will also be closures near the Guilford County Military Park for the Cannonball Half Marathon from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Road closures:

• One southbound lane of Lawndale Drive from Regents Park to Orman Road
• Turn lane of Lake Brandt Road from Regents Park to Old Battleground Road

The Alzheimer’s Walk will close roads around City Park from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Road closures:

• Davie Street between Friendly and Summit avenues from 8 a.m. to 12 noon
• Bellemeade Street between Greene and Elm streets from 9:45 a.m. to 12 noon
• Greene Street between Bellemeade Street and February One from 9:45 a.m. to 12 noon
• February One between Greene and Davie streets from 9:45 a.m. to 12 noon
• Davie Street between February One and Summit Avenue from 9:45 a.m. to 12 noon
