Give a Kid a Coat kick off in High Point
HIGH POINT, N.C. — Do you have coats in the back of your closet that aren’t being worn anymore? Bring them down to A Cleaner World today as the annual Give A Kid A Coat campaign kicks off this morning in High Point.
FOX8 and 1075KZL are both broadcasting live from 5-10 a.m. today at 2527 Eastchester Drive, where they are collecting coat donations from area residents to donate to needy children and adults throughout the Piedmont.
As of 8:45 a.m., nearly 500 coats have already been donated.
Hardees and Chick fil A will provide breakfast to folks that donate coats, and the Salvation Army will be there serving hot chocolate and coffee.
Kid Smiles in Asheboro is also a corporate sponsor for this year’s campaign.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the campaign may do so by dropping off a coat at any A Cleaner World location beginning today through Saturday, Nov. 16. Coats will be cleaned and repaired free of charge, then given to The Salvation Army for distribution.
