MONROE, N.C. — Monroe police are searching for a group of suspects that stole $20,000 worth of equipment from landscape and tractor supply business.

According to WSOC, the thieves broke into Fussells Turf Management through a backdoor on Tuesday, took the company van, hitched it to a company trailer, and loaded it up with lawnmowers before taking off with more than $20,000 worth of equipment.

In late August, investigators said the suspects attempted a similar burglary at JS Black John Deere on Highway 601, but were scared off when they tripped an alarm.

Detectives believe there are similar cases in other jurisdictions that could also be tied to the suspects.
