GREENSBORO, N.C. — Weeks after Healthserve closed, another doctor’s office has announced plans to open in its place.

Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine hopes to open in early 2014. The practice received a grant and funding from the Cone Health Foundation.

The grant will give the practice more than $1.4 million over the course of two years, that must be used to treat patients who are homeless or live in public housing.

The center will be able to help as many as 2,400 patients each year, which is only a fraction of the number of patients Healthserve assisted.
