Former volunteer NC coach accused of sex with student
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A former Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools worker has been accused of having sex with a middle school student, according to WSOC.
WSOC reports 50-year-old George Mobley was arrested Tuesday on charges including indecent liberties with a minor, sexual activity by school personnel and providing alcohol to a minor.
According to WSOC, the victim told authorities that she met Mobley several years ago when he was a volunteer coach at her middle school.
WSOC reports Mobley “admitted to engaging in sexual activity while the victim was a student and he was a coach.”
Mobley, who is no longer employed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
