Two injured in crash involving motorcycle, Jeep

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police said two people on a motorcycle were injured after a wreck with a Jeep on Saturday afternoon.

Police said the crash was reported around 4:48 p.m. at the intersection of North Point Boulevard and Linn Station Road.

Authorities said a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Motorcycle was headed west on North Point Boulevard and collided with a 2007 Jeep Wrangler headed east.

The Jeep was making a left turn at the intersection at the time of the crash, officials said.

Police said the motorcycle had two people on it, Patrick Schyuler Lee of Lewisville was driving and Kristin Angela Mosqueda of Winston-Salem was passenger, both 25.

Both people on the motorcycle were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with serious injuries, police said. The driver of the Jeep Wrangler was not injured.

The 7800 block of Northpoint Boulevard was closed to all traffic for about two hours while this incident was investigated.

Police said they do not know yet if speed or alcohol were factors. The Traffic Enforcement Unit has assumed this continuing investigation.
