Steven Tisdale indicted on first-degree murder charges in death of his partner
A Forsyth County grand jury indicted Steven Byron Tisdale Monday on first-degree murder in the death of his partner, Robert Bowie Tisdale.
Steven Tisdale, 45, is accused of fatally shooting Robert Tisdale, 52, on Jan. 30.
Robert Tisdale’s body was found in their Pfafftown home the same day in February that Steven Tisdale was scheduled to be in Forsyth Superior Court to face charges that he embezzled more than $100,000 from his former employer, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Steven Tisdale never showed up, and Las Vegas police picked up Tisdale a day later.
Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies found Robert Tisdale’s body after his mother called and said she had not heard from her son in a few days.
Steven Tisdale is in the Forsyth County Jail with no bond allowed on the murder charge. He was scheduled to have a hearing in Forsyth District Court on Dec. 12.
With the indictment, the case has moved to Forsyth Superior Court. A date for a hearing in Forsyth Superior Court has not yet been set.
