KING, N.C. -- Investigators with the N.C. Highway Patrol say more charges could be filed in a single-car crash that killed a Stokes County teenager late Wednesday night.

17-year-old Austin Brewster was killed after being thrown from a truck driven by 19-year-old Jon Ingram.

Ingram has been charged with DWI, provisional DWI and reckless driving. 19-year-old Walter Buck, a passenger, is charged with underage drinking.

Investigators believe Ingram lost control of his pick-up truck, around 11:45 p.m. on Meadowbrook Drive, flipping several times. Friends say EMS wasn’t aware of Brewster being in the vehicle or being thrown during the crash. Neighbors say his body wasn't found until later in the night.  Troopers say the crash is still under investigation and more charges could be filed.

Investigators say Ingram's blood alcohol level was measured by blood test. The results from the test have not returned to investigators.

Friends have created a makeshift memorial leaving flowers, balloons and a sign with handwritten notes.

A moment of silence for Austin started off the West Stokes High School home football game Friday night. Austin was a former student at the school.

"We weren't only brothers we were best friends," said Austin's brother Caleb who attended the Friday night game to thank the school and community for their love and support. "To know that he has a community behind him and no one is going to forget means a whole lot."
