Raleigh teenager accused of breaking into 15 vehicles

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh teenager accused of breaking into 15 cars will be tried as an adult because the alleged crimes happened the day after he turned 16.

WRAL-TV reported that Khawan Tyrell Dixon faces multiple counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony larceny.

Authorities said the crimes took place in an area off Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh on Saturday.

The suspect was placed in the Wake County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond and has court planned for Tuesday.
