MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man allegedly starved his dog and did nothing while her 11 puppies died in his driveway, according to WREG.

Police arrested Migel Martinez Wednesday night at his home and charged him with aggravated animal cruelty. A neighbor captured video of the starving dog burying her dead puppies in the yard.

Animal control seized the pit bull mix dog.

Officers said the female dog did not have any food or water, and her bones were showing through her skin. A neighbor called police after he watched the dog bury her last puppy.

The neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said he tried for nearly three days to get Martinez to do something about the puppies, and even offered to take all of the dogs. He also gave the mother food and water, but says she was too emaciated to give her puppies any milk.
