Early morning fire at Kernersville townhouse intentionally set

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — A Tuesday morning fire at a Kernersville townhouse was intentionally set, according to authorities.

The two-alarm fire was reported by a neighbor around 4 a.m. at The Arboretum complex at 701 Campbell Gardens Road. It was extinguished by 5:15 a.m.

Authorities are also investigating two previous suspicious fires in the neighborhood, according to a news release.

On May 10, officials responded to calls of someone lighting decorative wreaths on fire at two other townhouses at 702 and 704 Campbell Gardens Road.

On February 10, officials responded to a brush fire on Bowen Lake Drive.

Investigators have not said if the three cases are related.
