Two arrested on drug trafficking charges in Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Two people from Lexington have been arrested on drug trafficking charges.

According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, Tracy Elizabeth Hughes, 33, and Robert Lewis Camp, 46, were arrested Friday after deputies with the Vice Narcotics Unit seized 66 40-mg Opana pills and $2,076 in cash.

Hughes is charged with trafficking opiates by sale and trafficking opiates by possession.She was jailed under a $500,000 secured bond.

Camp is charged with trafficking opiates by possession. He is being held under a $250,000 secured bond.

Both suspects have a court date set for Sept. 24.
