Early voting begins at Forsyth County Government Center

One Stop Early Voting begins at the Forsyth County Government Center on Thursday for the Winston-Salem municipal primary.

Early voting will take place at the Forsyth County Board of Elections office on the second floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 N. Chestnut St., Winston-Salem.

Voting will be available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Sept. 2, when the office will be closed for Labor Day. The last day for early voting is Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

City residents who missed the voter registration deadline and have lived at their current address for at least 30 days can register and vote on the same day at the One Stop location. The person must show proof of residence by providing a document that lists his or her current name and current address.
