GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro city leaders are expected to make a decision on whether to buy land for the proposed downtown performing arts center following a public hearing Tuesday.

The city is currently considering properties between Summit Avenue, Elm and Lindsay Streets worth $7.6 million for the Greensboro Performing Arts Center.

City leaders say the cost to purchase the site is already factored into the estimated $60 million project.

Tuesday’s hearing is the last chance for the public to offer feedback about the project.
