Fire breaks out at NC A&T building, no injuries reported

GREENSBORO, N.C. — No injuries were reported after officials said a fire broke out at a North Carolina A&T State University campus building on Monday.

The fire was reported in the basement of Carver Hall, a science and academic building, around 4 p.m., said Samantha Hargrove, a school spokeswoman.

Hargrove said Greensboro firefighters contained the fire to the basement and all students, faculty and staff have been accounted for.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
