HIGH POINT, N.C. — Students at Johnson Street Global Studies went through technology boot camp to learn how to use their new tablets on Friday.
Each student at the school will receive a tablet with access to websites and apps they’ll need for homework and other school work.
Students also learned how to be safe online.
“They’ll do their homework with the tablets and communicate with their teachers through them. So it’s a big deal. We are real excited,” said Principal Trent Vernon.
Guildford County Schools used money from the Federal Race to the Top grant to buy the tablets.
