HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police say a resident was shot Saturday during a home invasion in High Point.

Few details about the incident were available, but Capt. Mike Kirk says four suspects stole money and other belongings.

There were four adults and three children inside the home at the time.

A person who lives at the address was shot in the buttocks during the robbery, Kirk said. The gunshot wound was described as serious, but it is not believed to be life-threatening.
