GREENSBORO, N.C. — For the first time in four years, the Greensboro Coliseum will host a preseason Charlotte Bobcats game.

The Bobcats will face off against the Dallas Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Tickets, which start at $10, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They can be purchased via and at the Coliseum box office.

With a total of 21 wins in the 2012-2013 NBA season, the Bobcats are led by third-year point guard Kemba Walker, who topped the team in scoring (17.7 points per game), assists (5.7 per game) and steals (2 per game). During the off-season, the team has added Indiana All-American forward Cody Zeller and free agent center Al Jefferson — a former Utah Jazz standout who has averaged at least 17 points per game and 9 rebounds per game in each of the past six seasons. Steve Clifford, a long-time assistant NBA coach who served the Los Angeles Lakers last season, was also selected as the Bobcats’ new head coach.

The Mavericks roster features 11-time NBA All-Star Dirk Nowitzki and former UNC Chapell Hill guard Vince Carter.

October’s game will mark the third-ever preseason Bobcats game to be held in Greensboro. It will be the first since 2009.
